Greetings From TNOA!
Dear Members,
I am truly honoured and humbled to assume office as the President of the Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association for the year 2026–2027.
Our association stands as one of the most vibrant and accomplished state chapters of the Indian Orthopaedic Association. I sincerely thank all our past Presidents and Secretaries for their dedication in shaping TNOA into what it is today.
My theme for this year is:
“Enrich Knowledge and Skill to Empower All.”
One of my key priorities is to promote more structured and uniform training for orthopaedic postgraduates across Tamil Nadu.
As part of this vision, we are launching TNOA CAST—a Cadaveric Skill Training Program. This initiative will provide hands-on surgical exposure in upper and lower limb procedures, guided by expert faculty, benefiting postgraduates across the state.
We will also focus on strengthening subspecialties, particularly Arthroscopy and Foot & Ankle Surgery, through our Joint Preservation Program,(JOPP) which emphasizes preserving native joints by addressing ligaments, cartilage, and alignment.
Equally important is our social responsibility. We are introducing a Sports Injury Prevention Program, aimed at educating young athletes through expert-led sessions involving surgeons, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and motivational speakers.
I am confident these initiatives will enhance both training and patient care, while advancing our specialty.
I remain committed to serving TNOA with dedication and integrity, and I thank you all for placing your trust in me.
